I thought today's show should have been all about Bret. I understand they probably have contractual obligations but I don't like the combining of the Skins history lesson with Bret leaving. His leaving is going to have a major impact on the show. He also kinda of screwed them by leaving to Indy a day early.

All of that makes sense, cpizz. I can't take exception with any of it. Still…there's something appropriate about the tribute being kinda "half-assed"…emblematic of the show in a nutshell. It's how they do most everything & it's part of their charm.

Maybe EB and Bret can revive an old show, but with a new twist. It could be called Mediocre Owner. They could get update us on how Bret is doing in his new venture.

Nice zing, feeer!!! I can't help but like Bret & root for him to do well; but, I sure hope he knows exactly what the hell he's getting himself into. If there's one business that crappier to be in…and harder to make a go of…than radio, it's the restaurant biz!!

I do wish Bret the best with this venture. He's going to have to work hours he's never worked before. Good thing it is already established – gives him a fighting chance to make it happen. I think he'll be fine.

I hate to be a hater, so let's say I represent the contrarian view – Brett out of there in under 3 years.
You need to have a fire in your belly to make a resteraunt succeed, and I get the feel Brett doing this to honor his brother, which is noble, but ultimately futile.
Or worse, he's under family pressure to step into his brother's shoes.
Either way, he'll be back in media at some point.

The one issue that I think anyone would have a problem with is going from having a ton of free time on your hands doing a morning radio show to working very long hours of … well … actually working. His lifestyle is about to change dramatically. I am just assuming that he has a support network of great workers and family. If he doesn't he's finished.
I'm only saying that in the best possible way since he has no training in restaurant management whatsoever … or management period. Whatever he learned at Mason was never used working at WJFK – guarantee it.
