OfflineDepends upon how it's handled…..by everyone.
1. If EB's A.D.D. kicks in, then EB's World will not be long for the world. He'll move on to whatever catches his attention next..
2. If EB exercises too much control over editorial content, then EB's World will not be long for the world. Folks…especially these folks…don't like to be told what they can & can't joan on.
3. If EB sticks with it AND is chill about it, then ball is in Junks.tv's court.
Personally, I think there's room for more than one place to chat about the show & other common interests. Time will tell…
I didn't want to bring it up here out of respect for Backdraft. This board's been here a long time and hopefully will be here for a long time to come. I think there's room for both. The only draw back here is the speed and the stupid "error" message that always pops up. I agree with CBL, control over editorial content could become a problem with EBS world. We'll see.

OfflineJP was promoting this board, but since they don't own it any longer it probably won't get mentioned. I hope JP still visits us in the future. We really need Valdez to interact here as well.

Here is what I don't understand. Nothing ever changed with this board. Where did the idea that they don't own this site anymore come about???

I'm going to be changing up the logo and a few other things. Since I now legally own JUNKIESRADIO.COM because the Junkies forgot to pay the bill (and I had to rescue the domain from a spammer and the Junks could care less) I'm going to use it. I've never posted that tidbit until now. Yeah, I'm bitter. You help the guys and you get nothing but shit on.
Sorry, I thought they were tied in together somehow. My apologies.

OfflineThat doesn't mean it's not their site. I've been faithful to them for 10 years. A spammer grabbed the domain and I had to bid on it to get it back. JP must have paid for a 10 year domain and never renewed it or forgot. When the site went down because of the loss of domain, I found it and paid $200 out of my pocket (like everything else with this site for 10 years) to save the domain from being destroyed. That is what any responsible webmaster would do to save the site even though they don't care about it.
I've had that domain under the hosting contract for the last few months to keep it all in one place.
So once again, because I saved their 10 year old domain name I get trashed instead of a 'Thank You'.
Typical.

OfflineWell, first of all, none of the 4 of them truly understand how the internet, and by extension, web domains, work.
Second of all, they're 4 self-entitled dicks who have lost sight of they're roots. Why would they remember, much less appreciate, what you do with this web site.

Backdraft, ur efforts are obviously much appreciated by us users. however, i dont understand the bitterness with the junks. youve been venting ur anger here now a few times either directly or indirectly. when have they trashed you? i may not know all the info, but seems to me that corporate cbs wants hits on their site (understandable), so they stopped promoting this site. that simple. my guess is they didnt ask u to keep the domain name, as they no longer care about this site which doesnt make them dicks or trashing u, so when u paid out of pocket u did so on ur own accord. what exactly do u want from them? appreciation for something ur doing on ur own without them asking for it? certainly the users of this board are very appreciative, me included, but not sure where the vitriol against the junks is coming from.

BD, thanks again for all that you've done with this outlet for fans, which is now uncensored. If you have a paypal account, PM me the name and I'll send you over a few bucks.

My big argument against this is that the Junks are the biggest show in the market with swingin dicks aged 18-45. With that kind of pull, you fight management and all the restrictions they try to put on you. The most successful DJ's in the hot talk genre fought and fought aginst management their whole careers. They flat out broke the rules on air, then dealt with it later. I think the boys have that kind of pull, but(it seems) they roll over. So when management tells them they can't promote Junks.tv on the air, the response should be, "Go fuck yourself." Or just plug the site anyway, and then after the show tell those fucking uncreative, cocksucking, jealous because their not on ar talent, piece of terrestrial radio ruining shits to fuck off.
