Shannahan must go. He is by far the WORST head coach in the NFL today. Has only won 1 playoff game in the last decade. Literally. And you thought the game had passed Gibbs by? Gibbs could outcoach Shanny right now, and that's saying something.
Two weeks to prepare and you spot a team 35 points? That falls on coaching.
His massive ego potentially cost us a win against the Colts by benching Haynesworth. Not to mention the massive distraction he created by starting a witch-hunt against the guy. The Dockery benching. Pulling your franchise QB down a touchdown with 2 minutes to go. Are these the earmarks of a great coach? Not at all.
Some (JP) say he has changed the culture at Redskin park. Well after losses to the Rams and Lions along with a MNF embarrassment, it seems the culture has not only failed to improve, but, actually worsened.
I know Snyder doesn't have the balls to do it, but hes got to get rid of Shanny (and Bruce Allen – I mean come on, under this guys watch he drafted a KICKER in the 1st round of the NFL Draft, thats our GM? Really?).
This team needs to be completely blown up from top to bottom, get rid of all the players we have, even the good ones (Landry, Cooley, Hall, Moss, Fletcher, Haynesworth, etc.) and acquire whatever picks we can. The only untouchables on this team are Orakpo and Trent Williams, because we need to keep our top young trench guys. Otherwise, ship them all out and start over. Get a new coach in here and a new talent evaluator.

Can't fire Shanahan now. Too soon. If he gets fired, the Redskins awful management ways will continue on and the team will never ever be good again until Snyder is gone. Gotta give it the full year. The Eagles are hot and Vick is still playing at a stellar level (contrary to Bickel's proclamation awhile back that he will start playing like his old self eventually). Somtimes you just get the beatdown.
I know it's been forever since his Denver days, but Shanny went 8-8 his first year at Denver. After that:
12-4 and superbowl champs
14-2 and superbowl champs
Sure, the team was mediocre after that, but the point is you can't fire a guy 10 weeks into the season at his first year. You gotta give him time to get a rhythm going.
I can't believe the contract they gave McNabb. 5 years? Are you kidding me? Now that was stupid.

Redskins and Snyder will always get what is deserved for clutching to the racist nickname for all these years. They manage to be out classed by someone in the NFC East every year. Mike Vike is the best QB in the league and probably the best player in the league. He beat them to a pulp at home in the rain on national TV.
GO Mike Vick!

You just tried to sound poignant and socially concious with the racism statement, then in the same breath you praised a man who butchered and tortured the most loyal creatures on the planet, all the while being the head financier of an organized crime unit.
Other than Rae Carruth, there has never been a bigger son of a bitch in the NFL than that talented piece of shit that torched our boys today.

Agree 100% with Hagerstown on this. Mike Vick is human garbage. It's been a while since Vick's crimes have been commented on – but when it was relevant, I heard EB minimize his crimes over and over again saying "he killed some dogs." The completely underplays the disgustine, vile nature of what he did. As the owner of a friendly, loving pit bull, I hope Vick burns in hell for eternity and wish him nothing but pain. Unfortunately, he's a millionaire now and gets all the fucking poontang he wants. And he's out giving the Skins a fucking beatdown. Great. Just great.

Anyone wanting a change today is overreacting. One of the reasons the Skins have been mediocre or worse for the last 15 years is because of a lack of continuity. No coach would make THIS team a playoff team THIS year (and probably not next year either). It will take at least 3-4 years before Shanny can make this team a playoff contender.

Well said. But will the midget give him three years ? Not likely. The head needs to be cut off. Unfortunatly that won't happen anytime soon.

lol at Mike Vick being worse than Leonard Little or Donte Stallworth. Get a clue
Vick is a thousand times worse, and I will explain why.
Stallworth and Little killed people unintentionally by getting drunk and plowing into someone. If you look at the profile of people who have done that, it is people of all races and economic backgrounds. It is a crime which nearly everyone is contrite for commiting becuase it is accidental. The argument between killing someone drunk driving and what Vick did is an argument of negligence versus barbarism. Taking a human life in one moment of utter stupidity and negligence can happen to a lot of people, including otherwise good people. It takes a psychopath of a whole different level to fight dogs.
It takes a psychopath of even greater heights to systematically butcher, and torture dogs. That is something people forget. His crime wasn't soley about fighting dogs. He and his group of fine young gentlemen would hang, electrocute, drown, punch, kick, and beat the dogs until they died. If you really really get into the mind of a person who can do that, it's going to be ugly. That is how a lot of serial killers started out. I honestly believe that if Vick didn't have football he would have intentionally taken a human life by now, and felt good about doing so.
Vick had to finance this organization, that he had knowledge of the torture of these dogs. Have you ever stepped on a dogs foot while you backed up, and the lil fella shreiks in pain for a second? I feel so bad for that second, so I have to kneel down and console the pup, and give him a little tussle. Imagine hearing those shreiks multiplied a hundred times while watching it happen, then repeat, then repeat, then repeat, then repeat. Imagine four, five, six guys standing around drinking and laughing while one of their friends ties a noose arounds a dog's neck and pulls him up slowly and lets him dangle their until he runs out of breath and dies. Then bring in the next doggie, and hold his head under water until he stops moving……don't forget, you pals, which include Vick, are standing behind you are yucking it up and having a great time. The average human can't watch that type of sickness and be comfortable with it.
The above paragraph is what makes Vick infintely more sick than anyone in the league currently. He is a barbarian that enjoyed butchering and torturing the most loyal creatures on the planet. That is an incurable sickness akin in a way to sexual predators in the sense that you can't stop that train of thought. He will always have an extreme amount of evil in his head, and it can be any moment that he lashes out because of the incurability of his maniacal and barbaric tendencies.
I love posting shit for shock value that I don't actually mean. I can't count the number of times I have said that I'd like to see the Cowboy's airplane upside down in a cornfield in Nebraska with all of them burning. It is all in good wholesome family fun. I do however really mean this: If Vick was murdered tomorrow, I would be happy about it. That's my barbaric side.

Three things have to happen, and they are fixable.
1.At least one more very good receiver….draft AJ Green or Justin Blackmon
2.O Line has to get better. We desperately need a new center.
3.Mcnabb has to throw more accurate. That may be a timing thing as he learns the new offense.

OfflineSteve, I want you to know that I'm giving you a standing ovation for your rebuttal of RavishinguhhhICKRude. Well stated, and I hope that Vick could see that post somehow. He might just donk himself off if he did. Love your real side and your schtick. Be safe.

Now you forced me to do this:
He could have at least blown the dogs or given them a nice red rocket. Technically those are illegal, but let's be honest, I'm sure the lil pooch is loving it.

i hope you guys arent celebrating Thanksgiving. Turkeys feel pain too.
Turkeys have their head cut off, then feel a few seconds of pain, then their nerves take over their bodies. Then we as humans eat them for nourishment, rather than torture thm them for amusement. On tops of that, dogs are also more aware of their own souls, and they put their own love and trust into humans. The "meat" argument doesn't hold up, even though I hate the fact that I am a meat eater. I hope to be a vegetarian one day, but my will power isn't too strong.
On Thanksgiving, I will work twelve hours, then maybe go eat some unfrozen lasagna or chicken. Something to depress me even further.
