Young dumb and full of …never mind. A lot of it is awful coaching. They can't run basic plays. It's disgraceful what this mess has become. We all know who is to blame.

It kills me to agree with Charles Barkley but this has to be the DUMBEST "professional" team I have EVER seen…any sport…any era. Bring on ALL the cliches as they all apply. Couldn't spell cat if you spotted them the "C" and the "A"! Couldn't hit water if they fell out of a fucking boat! Couldn't find their asses with both hands!!

I agree some of it is awful coaching…I don't know how much, though. In this era of big-money guaranteed contracts & salary caps, a lot of a NBA coach's leverage has been taken away. Bench a guy? Can't…at least not for very long. They make too much money to sit & they're so selfish they'll create even more of a disturbance than you already have. Trade a guy? Hard enough to find a viable "salary fit" player in return & the guy's already poisoned the well around the league with his antics. Any team that could slot him doesn't want him. Release a guy? Still owe him his money & gotta take the cap hit too.
The best coaches (also a relative term – they don't stack up well against the past either) now are the master psychologists who can get extremely selfish guys to buy into the notion that doing what is best for the team ALSO SERVES their own selfish interests. Whatever a guy ultimately wants – rings, fame, money, to get the fuck outta Dodge City…the coach has to connect the dots for the player between that individual goal & what's best for the team. If the GM picks guys are simply bad dudes….too stupid to understand that…won't work…won't listen…there's not a hell of a lot a coach can do. He can fall on his sword all at once (sit the guy consequences be damned) & get it over with. Or, he can do what Flip did (plead, cajole, lash out when he can't stand it anymore) & it's death by a 1000 cuts. Eh…a matter of personal preference. Either way, he's still dead. These clowns get to keep on keepin' on. Talk about life ain't fair!
I LOVE to coach…any sport, any level. I always have. I always will. But, I wouldn't touch these donks…not for all the money in the world! Coaching this team is like playing tic-tac-toe. The only winning move is…not to play.
